The Somerset Cricket Board are running a number of free ‘all inclusive’ disability and Visually Impaired cricket sessions in the Centre of Excellence at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton.
The sessions start on Saturday 11th February and run every Saturday for eight weeks at the following times:
- 10am – 12noon – Disability sessions
- 12noon – 2pm – Visually impaired sessions
The sessions are led by a qualified and experienced coach with support for all participants.
Everyone is welcome to come along regardless of age, experience or ability.
The sessions are free of charge and are a great way to try a new sport, meet new people, test and improve skills or just have fun.
Scott Chappell, Somerset’s Lead on Disability Cricket said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced players or people new to the game to get involved with the sport. Somerset has incredibly successful Disabled and VI teams and we are extremely proud of their achievements over the last few years. It’s really important that we continue to champion all forms of the game for all levels and abilities. We believe that cricket should be accessible to everyone in Somerset and we look forward to seeing as many people at these sessions as possible.”
