Last night was an extremely busy but very successful night for our Conferencing and Event’s Team.
Yesterday evening saw three separate events run concurrently at the Cooper Associates County Ground as we catered for over 350 people!
The 1875 Club was the setting for the final event of 2016 for our Business Club.
Over 50 Members were in attendance at the dinner at which David Eccles, Head of Stakeholder Engagement, Hinkley Point C and CEO Dale Edwards held a highly informative and engaging Q&A.
A business card draw was also held and Mike Dennis from Nythe Farm Kitchen was the lucky winner of a Somerset shirt signed by Johann Myburgh.
At the same time as the Business Club were enjoying dinner in the 1875 Club, the Taunton Area Committee of Somerset County Cricket Club held a fundraising evening in the County Room of the Colin Atkinson Pavilion. This sold out event saw 200 people enjoying hot food and the music of cover band Cleverly Everly.
These two events ran in parallel with a third which saw the regional Liberal Democrat AGM take place in the Stragglers Coffee House followed by a dinner in the Long Room.
Following a busy night Catering General Manager Sam Safe said: “Obviously it was quite a daunting prospect but the whole team pulled out all the stops and succeeded in delivering three outstanding events. I’m really proud of everyone. It was quite an undertaking and every department played their part in making sure that everything from the organisation to the delivery went perfectly.”
