PKF Francis Clark fought off stiff competition yesterday to be crowned Champions at our second annual Kwik Cricket tournament.
Eight teams took to the hallowed turf of the Cooper Associates County Ground and battled it out to win the coveted trophy.
After nearly four hours of action and 16 matches it was PKF Francis Clark who eventually came out on top after beating ITEC in the final.
The annual event is designed to act as a fun team building exercise for local companies and organisations and to give people of all skill levels the chance to play at one of the most beautiful sporting venues in the country.
This year’s competition saw over 70 players taking part in the tournament which concluded with a superb barbecue.
Sam McIntyre from our Commercial department organised the event. “It’s been a really good day,” he said. “It was great to see people from a wide range of businesses taking part and having fun. A massive thank you has to go to all those who took part, to the Somerset Cricket Board staff for acting as umpires and to all those behind the scenes who made the day the success that it has been. The only thing left to do now is to start planning for next year’s event!”
