Cricket Park & Ride to operate on Friday

We have once again teamed up with The Buses of Somerset and Somerset County Council to offer a Park and Ride facility for six of our seven NatWest T20 Blast matches.

In order to ensure that everyone can get to the match safely and in plenty of time, there will be a number of buses running on match days from the Taunton Gateway Park and Ride site near Ruishton.  In a bid to help reduce traffic congestion this service will operate every 15 minutes at a cost of just £2.40 per person and will drop passengers at Taunton Parade (near the Market House).  The return journey, which will run from Taunton Parade (near the Market House) back to Taunton Gateway, will operate every 10 minutes from 20:30 with a last bus at 21:20.

This service will only be in operation for our weekday matches and therefore will not be in place for the fixture against Hampshire on June 19th.

Somerset CEO Guy Lavender said: “Following the success of the Park and Ride facility for our NatWest T20 Blast matches last year it made absolute sense to utilise the service again this year.  With sell-out crowds heading for Taunton we feel it is absolutely vital that we help to make the journeys of supporters as simple as possible whilst helping to alleviate the pressure on town centre car parking.”

Please note that this service is running from Taunton Gateway Park and Ride site near Ruishton only.
