Success for Somerset at Groundsman of the Year Awards

Somerset Head Groundsman Simon Lee had a successful night at the Groundsman of the Year Awards in Derby.

Simon scooped the award for best one-day pitch and was also runner-up in the four-day category at the prestigious annual ceremony.

Every pitch is rated at the end of the match by each of the umpires with these ratings used as the basis for making the awards.
